Twins are here!

Jordan Lynar Young and twin brother Jaxon Arlyn Young were born on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 2:13pm and 2:14 pm via c-section. It was a crazy whirl wind of a day and I am so glad everything went smoothly. Jordan weighed 4 lbs 15 oz and was 17 1/4 inches long. Jaxon was 6 lb 9 oz and 19 inches long.  I will write about the whole last week and days before their birth in another post. Babies were both transported via ambulance to another hospital, but both are doing great now and we are loving our new baby boys!
The kids were able to be at the hospital so when they took the babies to the nursery they were able to see them until they were transported. I am so glad that my friend Tiffany got them out of school and brought them up to the hospital. Kids aren't allowed in the nicu so they haven't seen them since.

Hit my last wall

Yes, I have hit my last wall that I can handle.  This one is and has been getting worse by the day/hour.  The babies are in all quadrants of my belly and my ribs are killing me, I can't breathe or get comfortable since Jaxon is so high up.  Jordan is so low and laying sideways that I hurt really bad at the bottom of my stomach and low back.  My stomach has done well not itching, but last week it started up by making up for lost itching time.  My stomach is tight and shinny since the skin is so stretched.  I've been told that I don't look pregnant from the back, it's all straight out this time.  Sleeping is harder and harder and of course I have to use the restroom constantly.  I'm supposed to drink lots of water, but it is very hard to drink water since it fills up my tiny stomach and adds to the pressure in my upper stomach.  Eating is also hard since I don't have much room at all.
Last night Lynar asked me about doing a tummy tuck!  This is huge for him, but I think he realizes this may have done my stomach in for good!  6 kids and I think a tummy tuck is in order!
Tomorrow I am 35 weeks and am hoping that this will be the week that my dr is ok with doing a c-section.  I could go and do it today and be happy.  I've had 2 c-sections and this is much worse than recovering from a c-section.  I can't dress myself easily and I know this sounds gross, but with each day it gets harder to reach my bum to wipe.  Yuck....That is kind of an essential that I need to be able to do with the amount of trips I make to the bathroom.  I know soon this will all be a distant memory and I truly look forward to that day!

Names

I don't think I have posted our babies names on here yet.  Baby A is Jordan Lynar Young and Baby B is Jaxon Arlyn Young.  The kids helped us with these names and they just seem to go together nicely and works well.  Joseph loves the babies already and talks about Jordan and Jaxon all the time.  We are excited to meet our two buddles of joy hopefully this week!

33 weeks

I had another growth ultrasound on Tuesday and babies looked good. Baby A was 3 lb 12 oz and baby B was 5 lb 1 oz. of course I know this is a estimate and I'm hoping it if off a little. The MFM dr said possibly 2 weeks at my next appt we might need to move the date up to have the babies. He said this time that he doesn't want me to go past 36 weeks. I meet with my regular OB next Tuesday to discuss drop dead end c-section date. I can't believe it is so close.  So many things to do and my energy has completely run out. I am so exhausted and can't stand long at all and I'm just getting bigger.
This is my 33 week photo.

Lovely Pregnancy symptoms

I thought I knew all the pregnancy symptoms out there, but I guess I was wrong.  About a week ago, my left wrist/thumb started hurting in the middle of the night.  As the week has progressed, it has gotten worse and now it hurts to use my thumb.  I have carpel tunnel symptoms...yuck.  Last night I bought a brace to wear to immobilize my wrist and thumb which has helped a little.  My best friend (the bath tub) also helps to make it feel better.  From what I have researched, the symptoms should go away after the babies are born.  25% of pregnant women get this and it is mainly from swelling that women get in the 3rd trimester.  I hope it all goes away completely cause it will be painful to hold babies if it doesn't go away.  It hurts to move at all.  LOVELY!!!  Thankfully it's only my left hand so far.  My right hand hurts a little at night, but nothing like the left.
Another pregnancy symptom that is new to me this year is all the dang skin tags that I have gotten.  I read that this is due to the pregnancy hormones as well.

32 Weeks!

Every week is such a big accomplishment for me and the babies to pass!  32 is always a big number with babies and now I am shooting for 34 weeks.  After 34 weeks I will not have to get steriod shots to improve the lung function of the babies.  If it looks like I will have to get them I've been told by both doctors that they would put me in the hospital at that point.  Yuck!  I've been told not to do anything these next two weeks.  Like I can physically anyway.  Everything hurts!  The bath tub is my best friend right now!

Update on stats:  At my 30 week appt with my regular OB, I measured 38 weeks.  I did my first non-stress test (NST) and things looked good.  This is where they hook you up to the baby monitors and watch the heart rates and also contractions.  I did have one big contraction and some real small ones during the test, but nothing too alarming.

31 weeks:  This was the appt with the MFM to measure weights and fluid/bladder/ heart flow of both babies.  Baby A weighed abt 2 lb 15 oz (almost to 3 lbs) and Baby B measured 3 lbs 14 oz.  Almost a full pound difference so far between the babies!  I really want both babies to be over 5 lbs!!!  Just gotta grow and make it 4 more weeks.  All blood flow and fluids looked really good!  Both babies were head down.

32 weeks:  Regular OB did another NST and everything was good.  Babies were moving like crazy again!  Baby A was breach and Baby B was head down.  I'm surprised at how much they keep changing positions.  I measured 41 weeks....OUCH!  This is what I measured at 38+ weeks with Joseph and he was born at 39 weeks and weighed 9 lbs 10 oz.

Movement:  Everyone asks me about this and the movement is so crazy going on in my stomach!  This sounds weird, but I feel like I'm being kicked in the rear end.  Really, I feel the kicks in my back and butt more this time and all over.  I'm grateful to feel movement because it helps me to know the babies are ok, but it sure is a lot of movement everywhere in my mid section!

Last week on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I was having a lot of braxton hicks contractions.  So, Thursday I called my dr and he had me go up to the hospital to get monitored and checked out.  Of course, they slowed down when I was on the monitor, but it was nice to know that I hadn't started dilating yet.  I was told to go home on bed rest....well, I did as much as I could.  The contractions have slowed so much that my dr just told me not to do anything.  Lynar won't let me go shopping again because he thinks that is what set things off last week when I shopped at Sams club on Christmas Eve.

This picture was taken after Lynar's work party at Ruth Chris Steakhouse on Dec. 20th when I was 30 1/2 weeks along.  We were there a total of 3 hours---yes, I hurt from sitting, but I did get up and go to the bathroom 4 times that night.  It was almost a joke by the end of the evening, but my bladder really doesn't let me go long between trips to the bathroom.

Lynar and I went to a ugly sweater party.  I had a hard time finding an ugly sweater, so I just decorated mine with stickers and lights around my belly.  This was the night after the Ruth Chris party.  We had a fun time getting out and it's probably the last party we will be able to attend for awhile.
